🏫 At High Halden Church of England Primary School, we offer a welcoming, nurturing, and values-led education for children aged 4 to 11 years. We are a small school with a big heart, committed to serving our local community.

Each year, we welcome up to 15 children into our Reception class and cherish the close-knit, family atmosphere this brings.

📌 How to Apply

All applications for school places are processed through Kent County Council (KCC). If the school is oversubscribed, the following criteria will be applied in order:

  1. Looked after children

  2. Siblings of current pupils

  3. Health or social reasons

  4. Distance from the school

📅 Appeals Process – 2025 Intake

If your child is due to start Primary School in September 2025 and you are refused a place on National Offer Day (Wednesday, 16 April 2025), you are entitled to appeal.

  • 🕒 Submit your appeal by Tuesday, 20 May 2025 to ensure it is considered by Tuesday, 22 July 2025.

  • ⏳ Appeals submitted after this deadline will be heard within 40 school days of the deadline or 30 school days of being lodged — whichever is reasonable — following Department for Education guidance.

🔄 In-Year Admissions

If your child is already attending a primary, junior, or secondary school and you wish to transfer them to High Halden, this is known as an in-year admission.

We understand that changing schools is a big decision, and we’re here to help! 😊
