Vision and Values
At High Halden Church of England Primary School, our vision and values are deeply rooted in the biblical story of ‘The Vine and the Branches’:
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit."
— John 15:5
This powerful scripture guides our ethos and shapes how we grow as a school community. It reminds us that God is the gardener—nurturing, sustaining, and supporting each of us so that we may flourish. When we are connected—in faith, in purpose, and in love—we grow stronger together.
✝️ The Vine as a Metaphor for Our School
Jesus is at the heart of our school:
The vine, with deep, life-giving roots. Even through life’s challenges, those roots nourish and sustain us, helping each child to grow confidently, joyfully, and purposefully.
As branches of that vine, our school community flourishes through shared values, strong relationships, and a commitment to every child’s development.
Here’s what that looks like at High Halden:
-
Deeply rooted in Christian tradition, we are connected to God and each other.
-
Nourished through love, learning, and encouragement, we grow strong foundations for life.
-
Resilient in adversity, we face challenges with courage and grace.
-
Supportive and compassionate, we offer care, protection, and kindness to one another.
-
United in purpose, we belong—and we flourish—together.
-
Growing in diverse and joyful ways, we embrace our beautiful rural setting and the opportunities it brings.
-
Reaching outward with ambition, we aim to bear fruit that blesses not only ourselves but the wider world.
