Gross Motor Skills (Fizzy)
Gross motor skills are the big movements children make using their arms, legs, and whole body – such as running, jumping, balancing, and catching a ball. These skills are essential for coordination, confidence, and everyday activities. Some children need extra help to strengthen these areas.
✨ When children need to develop their gross motor coordination and control further, we use a programme called Fizzy.
The Fizzy programme helps children practise movement and control through structured activities. It is split into three areas, and each area is divided into three levels for children to work through at their own pace:
-
🤸 Body awareness and coordination
-
⚖️ Balance
-
🏐 Ball skills
