📊 Pupil Outcomes 2024–2025
We are incredibly proud of the progress and achievements our pupils have made during the 2024–2025 school year. Every child’s journey matters to us, and our results reflect the commitment, resilience, and teamwork of our children, staff, and families.
It’s important to remember that our school has small cohort sizes—typically no more than 15 children in each year group. This means that the results of just one or two pupils can have a large impact on our percentages, making our data appear very different to national figures. This year, our Year 6 cohort had only 12 pupils, and only five of them began their learning journey at High Halden in Early Years. In fact, four of the twelve joined us in either Year 5 or Year 6, meaning their time with us has been short but impactful.
Here’s a snapshot of how our school performed compared to national averages:

KS2 Reading, Writing & Maths (Expected Standard) | 12 | 42% | 62% |

Our successes this year include:
-
Progress from starting points – Pupils have made significant gains in their learning, with work in books showing clear improvements in writing quality, mathematical fluency, and depth of understanding.
-
Above-average achievement in the higher standard at KS2 – 17% of pupils reached this level, compared to just 8% nationally, showing that many pupils are achieving well beyond expected levels.
-
Early Years outcomes well above national averages – 80% of our Reception pupils achieved a Good Level of Development, placing us in the top 20% nationally.
-
Strong individual stories of success – Several children who joined us late in their primary education have made remarkable progress in a short time, settling quickly and thriving in our nurturing environment.
While some results are below national averages, the small numbers involved and the high proportion of late joiners mean that percentages can be misleading. What matters most is the rapid progress we see in our pupils’ work and their growing confidence, curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning.
We are determined to build on these foundations next year, continuing to nurture every child’s talents and support them to achieve their very best.
