Hello and welcome to our Butterflies class page! 🖍️ In our mixed Year 1 and Year 2 class, learning takes flight as children build on their early experiences and grow into curious, independent thinkers. We foster a caring, stimulating environment where each child is encouraged to shine in their own unique way.

The Butterflies team is led by Mrs Myers and Ms Bratton, who are passionate about nurturing a love of learning and helping children thrive both academically and emotionally. ✨

Building upon the EYFS curriculum, children in Year 1 and 2 continue to make meaningful links across subjects, drawing on what they already know and extending their understanding in new and exciting ways. Learning is carefully designed to build on prior experiences, so children deepen their knowledge, apply skills with greater independence, and develop confidence as they move towards more formalised learning while still engaging in playful, hands-on, and discussion-based opportunities.
