Keeping Your Child Safe
🛡️ Keeping Your Child Safe at High Halden
At High Halden Church of England Primary School, your child’s safety, wellbeing, and happiness are our top priorities. 💛 We believe that every child should feel secure, valued, and confident in their learning environment — and we work hard every day to make that a reality.
👁️ Safeguarding
Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We have clear procedures in place to protect children from harm and ensure their safety — both in and outside of school. All staff receive regular training, and we have a dedicated Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and trained deputies who respond swiftly to any concerns.
We actively promote a culture where children feel comfortable to speak up, knowing they will be listened to and supported.
💻 Online Safety
The digital world is full of exciting learning opportunities — but it can also present risks. That’s why we teach our children how to stay safe and make responsible choices online. 🌐
We run regular lessons on online safety, including cyberbullying, privacy, and safe communication. We also work in partnership with parents by sharing updates and helpful resources to help keep children safe at home, too.
🌈 Behaviour & Wellbeing
We have high expectations for behaviour, underpinned by our Christian values of respect, kindness, and responsibility. Our school is a calm, caring space where children can thrive. 🌟
We use a positive behaviour approach, rewarding good choices and offering support when children need help managing their feelings or friendships. Our staff team also includes trained adults who can offer emotional support to children who may be struggling.
📚 School Policies
Our policies reflect our commitment to safety and wellbeing for every child. You can find our key policies — including Safeguarding, Behaviour, Online Safety, and Anti-Bullying — on our School Policies page. 🕊️
If you would like a paper copy, please just get in touch with the school office — we’re always happy to help.
📞 Concerned About a Child?
