Life Skills Progression

We believe life skills are as important as academic learning in preparing children for the future. Our Life Skills Progression is designed to develop independence, confidence, and responsibility step by step from Early Years through Year 6. Pupils begin with simple skills such as dressing themselves, recognising trusted adults, and understanding basic safety. As they move through the years, they learn to manage money, care for their health, travel safely, and understand their role in the wider community. By Year 6, children are able to budget, travel independently, support others, and discuss current affairs with maturity. This carefully planned progression ensures that, alongside academic achievement, our pupils leave primary school equipped with the practical abilities and positive mindset they need to thrive in the next stage of their education and in life.

🎓 Transition to Secondary School

Ensuring pupils are ready for their next stage:

  • Links and projects with local secondary schools

  • Year 6 residential and team-building activities

  • Opportunities to broaden friendships and social skills
