Hello and welcome to our Grasshoppers class page! 📚 We are a vibrant and energetic group made up of Year 3 and Year 4 pupils, where curiosity is encouraged and learning is an exciting adventure every day.

Our classroom is a place where children begin to take greater responsibility for their learning, develop resilience, and explore their creativity across a broad and engaging curriculum. We believe in nurturing confidence, kindness, and a growth mindset in all we do. 🌱

In Year 3 and 4, children begin the exciting journey into Key Stage 2, following a two-year rotating curriculum that allows them to explore subjects in greater depth and make wider connections across their learning. At this stage, there is a strong emphasis on developing mathematical fluency, particularly learning and securing times table facts, alongside improving reasoning and problem-solving skills. Reading and writing continue to be central, while opportunities are broadened through rich topic work, science investigations, and creative subjects. Children are also introduced to more formal lessons in modern foreign languages (French), laying the foundations for future language learning. This balance ensures pupils deepen their knowledge and skills while continuing to enjoy a wide range of engaging and enriching experiences.
