Disability Awareness Day

On Friday 20th March the children were lucky enough to meet an inspirational man called John McCorkell. John was born with Cerebral Palsy.  He spent the morning at the school where he began by leading Collective Worship then ran a workshop with each class.

John’s  focus is to run  Disability Awareness sessions which enables children to gain a better understanding of what inclusion really means. The children also have the chance to experience some of the challenges that disabled people face and ask questions of John about his life and experiences.
