Healthy Body, Healthy Mind
On Tuesday 7th January, the children took part in workshops, learning to prepare and cook a healthy balanced meal. The hall was set up in to six workstations, allowing all children to be active participants, they learnt a number of culinary techniques, names of a range of vegetables, herbs and spices and tried something new! The freshly cooked food, smelt delicious and we had very positive reports from the children regarding the taste.
In addition, the children undertook mindfulness yoga sessions on Wednesday. Children and adults clearly enjoyed the 30 minute session and were keen to discuss the new moves and positions they had learnt throughout the day.
