• Kent School Games

  On Wednesday children from Y5/6 represented the school and Ashford at the Tag Rugby Kent School Games final at the University of Kent. They played 5 matches against schools from around the county. The team came third, which is a super achievement! It was commented on how well the children played and their behaviour was impeccable.

  

• Port Lympne

  The whole school went on an exciting trip to Port Lympne  Zoo, to see if they could spot any Indian animals. They had an amazing time and all the animals came out to play! 

  

• Platinum + Award

  Today, we were presented with another award for the Walking Bus/Walk to school scheme. Ali and Mrs Wood, went to collect the award on behalf of the school; they even met the Walking Bug! A big thank you to all the children who have contributed towards us achieving this award. 

  

• Tenterden Tesco- Farm to Fork

  Children from Eagle class spent an enjoyable afternoon at Tesco on Wednesday as part of the ‘Farm to Fork’ project. They looked behind the scenes at the food storage areas, including the huge fridge and freezer, learnt how to fillet a fish, tasted some delicious fruit and bread and especially enjoyed rolling a donut in sugar and then being allowed to take it home. High Halden school were the first group of children to take part in this exciting community project at the Tesco store in Tenterden. The children thoroughly enjoyed their day and the goody bag they received on their way out!

• Art Exhibition

  Join us after school on Thursday 5th June, to celebrate the fantastic art work the children created during Art Week. Every child will have a framed masterpiece on display in our temporary exhibition, for you to view and purchase if you wish. We look forward to seeing you there!
